
The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management offered the world’s first bachelor’s degree in tourism; was the 7th program accredited in the country; is a national leader in international programs that includes a work abroad program in luxury hotels in Lake Como, Italy, a cultural immersion program in Peru, a dual degree program in Germany, and a Carnival Cruise Lines Course; is a recipient of the Institutional Achievement Award from the International Society of Travel and Tourism Educators; and is ranked in the top 20 programs in the country – the smallest university on that list. The average class size is 17 students. The College has many other distinctions, qualifying it as a leading national and international program in hospitality and tourism. The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management is one of the founding members of The Leading Hotel Schools of the World, an association of leading hospitality programs worldwide that work with the 440, five-star Leading Hotels of the World and 10 partner schools worldwide. The Leading Hotel Schools of the World was founded by The Hotel School the Hague, Niagara University, and The Leading Hotels of the World. The Leading Hotel Schools of the World is one of the best examples of industry/education partnership.
We offer a concentration in food and beverage management with a focus in entrepreneurship or f&b operations management; a concentration in Hotel Planning, Development, and Operations with a focus in Property Development or Operational Planning & Control; and a concentration in luxury hospitality operations with a focus in resort & spa management or club management.
